This webpage is dedicated to our son Connor. He has short gut syndrome due to a midgut volvulus secondary to an intestinal malrotation (his intestine was kinked during development causing blood supply to be cut off to these important organs). He was rushed into emergency surgery the morning after his birth to save his life. Through subsequent surgeries a large portion of his intestine was removed. Though 1/4th the size of a normal intestine, his intestine should adapt over time to give him a great chance at a normal life. His strength continues to amaze me everyday. His life has been a blessing to Andy and I, and anyone who meets him. From his birth to now, Connor has exhibited a determination for life and exudes a spirit and personality that surpasses what anyone would expect from an infant that has been subjected to such obstacles. I hope that through this webpage family, friends, and fans of Connor will be inspired by his courage and can continue to watch him grow and thrive.
